White w/black stripe, Yellow w/White stripe, Yellow Belt, Orange/White Stripe
|
Testing for these ranks will be on a case by case basis when the student has successfully been promoted to all 4 stripes for their belt requirements. Students will be notified by their having their names posted on the testing list in the dojo. The testing date is listed on the dojo calendar and parent/teacher recommendation forms must be filled out prior to the test date and brought on the evening of the test.. |

All black belt gradings will be held on a case by case basis only when candidates have met or exceeded the following requirements: |
Testing Eligibility
Kyu Gradings 
1) Regular to excellent attendance
2) Demonstrate an improvement in physical training and ability.
3) Correct attitude
4) Consistently demonstrate strong technique and correct form
5) Consistently demonstrate effort
6) Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the written curriculum in the handbook.

Dan Gradings 
All black belt gradings will be held on a case by case basis only when candidates have met or exceeded the following requirements:
1) Outstanding attendance for all classes including kumite and kobudo
2) Demonstrate an improvement in physical training and ability.
3) Consistently demonstrate a knowledge of all Butokukan kata and performance of the kata with no mistakes or corrections.
4) Consistently demonstrate correct form and mechanics of all Shorin-Ryu waza (techniques)
5) Consistently demonstrate knowledge and ability in required Butokukan kobudo
